<p>Calling all food enthusiasts and culinary artists! This competition celebrates the rich and diverse flavors of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. Participants will prepare authentic dishes using traditional methods and ingredients.</p> <p><strong>Competition Categories:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Rice & Curry:</strong> Traditional rice with multiple curry accompaniments</li> <li><strong>String Hoppers & Kottu:</strong> Popular street food and breakfast items</li> <li><strong>Traditional Sweets:</strong> Traditional Sri Lankan desserts and confections</li> <li><strong>Regional Specialties:</strong> Unique dishes from different regions of Sri Lanka</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competition Format:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participants will have 2 hours to prepare their dishes</li> <li>All ingredients will be provided (special dietary requirements can be requested)</li> <li>Judges will evaluate taste, presentation, authenticity, and technique</li> <li>Live cooking demonstration for audience engagement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Prizes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>1st Place: $400 + Cooking Set + Certificate</li> <li>2nd Place: $250 + Kitchen Tools + Certificate</li> <li>3rd Place: $150 + Spice Collection + Certificate</li> </ul> <p>All participants will receive a traditional Sri Lankan recipe book and cooking apron.</p>
